Chelsea are reportedly considering a summer swoop for West Ham and England star Declan Rice. Boss Frank Lampard is keen to strengthen his engine room with a defensive midfielder if the transfer window goes ahead this summer.
Rice, 21, has started all 29 of West Ham's Premier League games so far this season and has been linked with interest from Manchester United.
But his consistent displays have caught the attention of Chelsea boss Lampard, according to Sky Sports News. Rice was released by the Stamford Bridge club as a youth player, but has been good friends with Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount since their days together in the academy.
