Frank Lampard has reportedly urged Chelsea bosses to fund a transfer for Manchester United target Declan Rice. The West Ham midfielder started his career with the Blues before leaving for the Hammers as a teenager.
Rice has since turned into a key player at the London Stadium and his performances over the last couple of seasons has linked with with a move elsewhere.
The Red Devils have been most heavily linked with the 21-year-old, who is valued by West Ham at around £70m. He is a close friend of Mason Mount following his time at Stamford Bridge and may prefer to join up with him and also to remain in London should he ever move.
