Jofra Archer will bounce back from a disappointing winter – and show why he is one of the most special players in world cricket.
That is the view of Chris Jordan, the England T20 star who knows the Sussex star far better than most. Archer announced his arrived on the global stage in last summer’s Ashes, taking 22 wickets for just 20.
His spell to Steve Smith in the Lord’s Test was also one of the most memorable clashes of an unforgettable international season that also saw him play a key role in England’s World Cup triumph.
But Archer did struggle in New Zealand before Christmas and played just one Test in South Africa before missing the rest of the series through injury.
