A Christian leader who said the media’s coverage of the coronavirus crisis was politically motivated “mass hysteria” has died from the disease.
Pastor Landon Spradlin, 66, died at a North Carolina hospital on Tuesday, following eight days in intensive care. He was taken to hospital after he collapsed with pneumonia after he made a 900-mile trip from Virginia to Preach at the New Orleans Mardi Gras in Louisiana.
Pastor Spradlin had performed with his family band in Jackson Square during the massive festival. He made the journey as he felt the festival would be an opportunity to spread his Christian teaching through street music.
