Christopher Eccleston says he is preparing for the eventuality that he will get coronavirus. The Salford-born actor spoke candidly to Lorraine Kelly about how he is “hoping for the best, expecting the worst” amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Christopher, 56, was speaking to the Scottish TV host over the phone on Good Morning Britain about the importance of the health service and paid tribute to health care workers.
The former Doctor Who star has put his recognisable voice to a poem, which pays tribute to NHS staff fighting the coronavirus, written by Matthew Kelly from Salford.
After the ITV show shared a clip of him reciting an excerpt, Christopher said he hopes that the NHS will no longer be used as a “political football”.
