Sir Cliff Richard, 79, has accused radio stations of snubbing his music while they prioritise playing music from the younger stars.
Richard said that he should receive priority as without the help of radio stations, it is a difficult time for his long-term fans. After releasing his newest album, Rise Up, in 2018, Richard has now spoken about how he deserves more airtime on the radio to the Greatest Music of All Time podcast, as he said: "Why will people download a record of mine if they don't know it's out?"Those of us who have proven ourselves over and over and over again should be given a priority chance [on radio], even if it's to say 'We are going to play this record once a day for two weeks.'"Without radio, there is nothing we can do.
