LAGUNA HILLS, Calif. - A massive fire has swept across neighborhoods near the Laguna Hills area Wednesday.The fire has burned approximately three acres in the area near Aliso Woods Canyon.

SkyFOX swung by the area as smoke has begun to reach homes and nearby neighborhoods.The fire, dubbed as the "Coastal Fire," has grown to about 30 acres, according to Aliso Viejo officials.The fire prompted the Orange County Sheriff's Department to ask residents in the communities near Pacific Island Drive and Coronado Pointe to evacuate.

Officials did not give an exact time of when the evacuation order will be lifted.In addition to the evacuation order, residents are asked, but not ordered, to voluntarily evacuate in the Moulton Meadows and Balboa Nyes (Portafina) areas.During SkyFOX's coverage, two people were spotted standing near the fire.

It is unknown if the two witnesses are crew members or if they were just onlookers.As crews work to extinguish a large brush fire in Laguna Niguel, SkyFOX caught two people casually walking towards the fire, appearing to take photos in a dangerous situation.The City of Laguna Beach has an "Evacuation Zones" map for residents on which parts of the area are under evacuation orders or warnings:A fire broke out in the same area about three months ago.The brush fire has begun spreading to parts of the Laguna Hills area.AdvertisementThis is a developing story.

WILDWOOD, N.J. - With the unofficial start of summer just weeks away, officials in New Jersey shore towns say that beach erosion from recent storms has already cost millions to fix and could impact beach access on Memorial Day weekend.In North Wildwood, coastal erosion was worsened by a Mother's Day weekend storm that battered the popular summer hotspot with flooding rain and high winds.Mayor Patrick T. Rosenello told FOX 29 that North Wildwood has already used a third of its spring beach replenishment sand to make the impacted areas. "Unfortunately it’s about a million dollars, the whole project is about $3M, so we’re looking at about $1M in sand that has moved back into the surf zone."
