The consultative committee has tasked groups of 2-3 leaders to focus on sectors such as farmers, migrants, MSMEs NEW DELHI : A consultative committee of the Congress headed by former prime minister Manmohan Singh is focusing on the three key areas of migrant labourers, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and food security, ahead of announcing the party’s stand on economic issues that need attention with the covid-19 pandemic roiling the country.
The move comes amid a growing demand for a stimulus package that would ease the hardships being suffered by the poor who have been hit the hardest by the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
