Coronation Street's Chesney 'reunited' with loved one amid tragic Gemma Winter twist

Coronation Street actor Sam Aston hinted that there could be a reunion on the cards between Chesney Brown and a beloved past character.

The 26-year-old soap star, who joined the Weatherfield cobbles as Chesney back in 2003, was on Wednesday's episode of This Morning.

Sam was interviewed via video call amid the current coronavirus lockdown. He spilled the beans to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about his moving storyline, and even hinted Chesney's best friend Schmeichel could make his long-awaited return.

Eamonn asked: "It might not be the time to ask this, bearing in mind your hands are pretty full as Chesney. "But are we never going to see another Schmeichel, a Schmeichel mark two again?" Sam replied: "I don’t know.
