A COVID-19 outbreak in a Belleville, Ont., long-term care home has been halted after nine people tested positive. On March 30, a Hastings Manor staff member tested positive for the novel coronavirus, since then, five residents and four staff members inside the home have contracted the virus. “It only takes one staff member or a resident for a facility to be put into an outbreak category,” said Hastings County CAO Jim Pine.
According to Pine, one of the residents remains in hospital, and the other four are inside the home recovering.
