Volunteers as young as 18 are being offered up to £625 to take part in the UK’s first coronavirus vaccine trials. Imperial College London (ICL) and University Hospital Southampton have advertised for people aged 18-55 to take part in trials.
ICL has called for anyone who is healthy and within the age category to take part in the trials, and is offering volunteers £190 and £625 to take part.
Researchers at the University of Southampton are also leading a study with 510 healthy volunteers. Work on the vaccine, developed by clinical research teams at the University of Oxford’s Jenner Institute and Oxford Vaccine Group, began in January.
