India's coronavirus count crossed 1600 today with over 200 cases were reported across the country in last 24 hours. Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh witnessed a record surge in COVID-19 cases.

The total number of coronavirus cases in India has surged to 1637, according to ministry of health and welfare. The number of deaths related to COVID-19 has also climbed to 38.

There are 1466 active coronavirus patients in the country. A total of 132 patients have been recovered from the disease so far.

Mumbai, financial capital of India, is the worst affected city in the country. Over 160 cases were confirmed from Mumbai. Coronavirus has infected a total of 302 people in Maharashtra.
