Kind-hearted people have posted heart-warming “thank you” messages on their bins to show their support for dustmen and women still working during the coronavirus pandemic.
Dozens of people joined in the effort in Bishop's Stortford to show their gratitude to the people on the bin trucks who are continuing to work daily to pick up rubbish.
Almost every house in The Stewarts, a cul-de-sac in the Hertfordshire town, displayed a thank you message note on their black bins.
Dustmen arriving in the Stortford street were so touched by the gesture they stopped briefly to take photos on their mobile phones.
