Coronavirus death figures show Covid-19 is killing one Brit every two minutes with an NHS trust in Birmingham named as having suffered the most deaths.
The shocking figures come just a day after the deadliest in Britain since the pandemic begun. A total of 786 deaths were reported yesterday, taking the country's total to a staggering 6,159.
Figures show the NHS trust with the most victims in England is University Hospitals Birmingham, followed by several trusts in London.
University Hospitals Birmingham trust has already recorded 263 deaths, 37 of which were included in one day’s toll. Compared to other local authorities, Birmingham has also had the most confirmed coronavirus cases throughout the outbreak.
