'Coronavirus nearly killed me at just 31 but now people tell me it's a myth'

When Lewis Barton awoke one March morning with a cough, he didn't pay it much bother. Within three days, the 31-year-old was in hospital fighting for his life.

The young man from Newport was one of the first people to be treated for Covid-19 on the intensive care ward at the Royal Gwent Hospital, as his city became the first major epicentre in Wales.

Six months later, the virus is surging again around him as the pandemic rages on. Yet Lewis now finds himself arguing with people who think coronavirus is a hoax - forced to debunk myths shared about the virus by conspiracy theorists on social media, reports Wales Online.
