A paramedic has claimed he was evicted because of his landlady’s fears over coronavirus. Joseph Hoar, who works for South West Ambulance Service, posted a text message on Twitter in which he claimed his landlady tells him to move out as “it’s a matter of time before you are in contact with the virus”.
Mr Hoar, posting on Saturday evening, said his eviction meant he would not be able to do his 12 hour shift the following night.
The text said: “Actually Joe, on reflection I am now super nervous about having someone from the NHS here. As it’s only a matter of time before you are in contact with the virus. “Can you organise an Airbnb and collect your stuff tomorrow. “Sorry I normally would never do this but it’s not worth the risk.
