An NHS nurse died at home from the coronavirus after reportedly treating a patient without any protective equipment. Dad-of-seven Thomas Harvey, 57, died in his bathroom on Sunday in Upper Clapton, east London, while self-isolating.
Emergency services performed CPR but were unable to revive the nurse, who worked at Goodmayes Hospital in Ilford, east London.
Thomas’ friend and former colleague, phlebotomist Margaret Barron, has since launched a GoFundMe page to support his grieving family.
