Peterborough now has 13 confirmed cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, according to the region’s health unit.
On Friday morning, Dr. Rosana Salvaterra, Peterborough Public Health’s medical officer of health, announced four new cases. On Thursday the health unit revealed it had its first hospitalized case at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre and its first case at a long-term care facility with a resident at St.
Joseph’s at Fleming. The new cases announced Friday morning include: Salvaterra said 528 people have been tested to date, with 279 confirmed negative cases.
