A Chinese researcher has been mysteriously killed in a murder-suicide after he was said to have been on the verge of "very significant findings," in relation to the coronavirus pandemic.
The University of Pittsburgh researcher, Dr Bing Liu, 37, was allegedly killed while alone in his home in Ross Township. Another man, who has been identified as Hau Gu, 46, entered the property through the unlocked door and began shooting, reports Mail Online.
Dr Liu was hit by bullets in the head, neck and torso, and succumbed to the injuries. The shooter, Gu, then walked back to his car which was parked 100 yards away and then turned the gun on himself.
