A seventh person has died in Scotland after contracting coronavirus with the number of cases detected in Ayrshire increasing again today.

The Scottish Government confirmed the news in its latest update this afternoon. The total number of people who have contracted coronavirus in the NHS Ayrshire & Arran region now stands at 21.That figure is up nine from yesterday.Across Scotland, the total number of tests carried out is 8,259.
