Five fresh cases were reported from Mumbai, taking the total number of coronavirus patients in Maharashtra to 159. One patient also tested positive for novel COVID-19 infection in Nagpur.
As many as 28 people were infected with COVID-19 infection in the state on Friday. Mumbai, the financial capital of India, has so far recorded five deaths due to coronavirus infection.
This the highest number of deaths any state has witnessed in India.
