MUMBAI: The Wockhardt Hospital in the city has been declared a containment zone by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as 30 doctors and nurses are suspected to have been infected with the novel coronavirus, a senior corporation official told Mint over a telephone call. "We have declared Wockhardt Hospital as a containment zone and have removed 30 doctors and nurses from there.
We have shifted these covid-19 suspected cases to the Seven Hills Hospital in Mumbai, where further tests will be carried out," said Vijay Khabale-Patil, chief public relations officer at BMC, refusing any more details.
As of 5 April, Maharashtra had 748 covid-19 cases, of which 458 patients were from Mumbai and 100 were from Pune. There have been 45 deaths
