CORONATION Street's Catherine Tyldesley awkwardly jokes "if Chinese ate sandwiches we wouldn't be in this mess" as the country is in lockdown due to the coronavirus.

She then joked: "Tell you what, if Chinese had stuck to cheese sandwiches we wouldn't be in this mess," before saying, "Bloody bats".
The joke is referencing the theory that COVID-19 originated in bats from the Wuhan wet markets. Speaking in the video, Olga said:.
