A council in Kent has been accused of cashing in on coronavirus grief with changes to its cremation prices. Medway Council is planning to shrink its service length times - without lowering the costs to match.

The Tory council is also planning to cut its shortest, cheapest option - provoking accusations it will leave struggling families without a budget option.

The council is planning to shorten the services at Medway Crematorium as a temporary measure amid high demand for cremations due to coronavirus deaths locally.
