Covid-19: 1,051 new cases reported by Dept of Health

There have been 1,051 new cases of Covid-19 reported by the Department of Health. The Department has said that there are 319 people with Covid-19 being treated in hospitals around the country.

Sixty of these patients are being treated in intensive care units. The number of people in hospital with Covid is up 21 from yesterday, while the number of patients in ICU is up by four.

146,128 Covid tests have been carried out in the last seven days, with a positivity rate of 6.2% There have been 7,231,598 doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered to date.
