Covid-19: 21 further deaths, 390 new cases in Republic of Ireland

The Department of Health has confirmed the deaths of 21 more people diagnosed with Covid-19, and a further 390 new cases. It brings the total number of deaths in the Republic of Ireland to 158.

The number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 now stands at 4,994. 17 of the deaths were located in the east, 2 in the south, 2 in the west of the country.

They involved 9 females and 12 males, with 12 patients were reported as having underlying health conditions. The median age of today's reported deaths is 81.
