Maharashtra on Sunday registered 550 fresh Covid-19 cases, 21 more than the previous day, which raised the overall caseload to 78,85,944, while one death took the toll to 1,47,859, the state health department said.  On Saturday, the state had recorded 529 cases, but no virus-related death.  As many as 324 Covid-19 patients were discharged today, which pushed the recovery count to 77,35,088.  The state currently has 2,997 active coronavirus cases. Maharashtra's recovery rate is 98.09 per cent, while the fatality rate is 1.87 per cent.  With 375 new cases, Mumbai's infection count grew to 10,64,056.

PHILADELPHIA - A triple shooting in East Germantown left one man dead and two women injured, according to police.The alleged homicide occurred on the 6300 block of 21st street around 10:15 a.m.Police say three people were shot; a 35-year-old man died from multiple shots to the chest, a 62-year-old is in critical condition from a shot to the hip and a 57-year-old woman is stable after a shot to the arm.All three were transported to Albert Einstein Hospital by police.AdvertisementNo arrest has been made at this time.
