MUMBAI: Number of COVID-19 patients in Maharashtra rose to 147 with the state reporting 17 new cases on Friday. On Thursday, eight people had tested positive in the state.
So far, 19 patients have recovered from the disease and have been discharged. "COVID-19 patients who have good immunity and are managing the treatment properly, are recovering," said state health minister, Rajesh Tope.
In a Facebook live address, Tope urged private doctors in the state not to shut down hospitals for fear of coronavirus. Tope said it is very important for private clinics to be open as people may need help anytime. "There are other illnesses apart from COVID-19.
