NEW DELHI: The finance ministry on Thursday relaxed premium payment timeline for health and third party automobile insurance policyholders up to April 21.
NEW DELHI: The finance ministry on Thursday extended till 21 April premium payment timeline for health and third party automobile insurance policyholders.
Simply put, if a policyholder's insurance premium is due for renewal during the lockdown--25 March to April 14 --and he/she is unable to do so on time, such payments can be made by 21 April.
The step would give some relief to policyholders who are unable to make payments amid a three-week nationwide lockdown imposed by the government to contain the spread of coronavirus disease.
