Covid-19: Three further deaths, eight new cases

The Department of Health has been notified of three further deaths of people with Covid-19, bring the total number of deaths to 1,710.

There have also been an additional eight confirmed cases of the virus. Ireland now has a total of 25,341 cases of coronavirus.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr Ronan Glynn said the recovery rate is now at 92%.  "This and other indicators such as the reproductive number, hospital admissions and ICU admissions are stable or moving in the right direction.

This is good news that has been achieved through the collective efforts of every person who has followed public health advice", he said.
