Scotland's Covid death toll has increased by 39 amid 2,691 new cases being confirmed within the last 24 hours.Figures have been published this afternoon by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland (PHS) as part of the national Covid-19 daily briefing.Nationally, there are 980 patients being treated in hospital which is down eight from yesterday.
There are currently 69 people with the disease being treated in ICUs. The number of newly-reported positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran has risen by 218 to 41,177.Of the new cases, 93 were from East Ayrshire, 81 in North Ayrshire and 44 attributed to South Ayrshire.A total of 583,019 positive tests have now been recorded from 3.243 million tests carried out since the
