Covid positivity rate down from 24.83% on 10 May to 12.45% on 22 May: Govt

Covid-19 positivity rate has declined from 24.83% on May 10 to 12.45% on May 22," the government said on Saturday during a routine press briefing.The pandemic situation is stabilising in India with the positivity rate, daily and active Covid-19 cases reducing, the government said.However, the government officials further said, "Though there is an overall decline in case burden but Covid-19 positivity rate is still over 10% in 382 districts."According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), as many as 20,66,285 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours across the country, which is the highest number of tests conducted in a day.The Union Health Ministry informed that India's daily recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new.
