Rangers Academy chief Craig Mulholland has revealed that he views the introduction of Colt teams into the SPFL pyramid as a "critical" aspect of the club's development of players.
With Scottish football's administrators thought to be looking at league reconstruction as a way to help solve some of the issues caused by the coronavirus shutdown, the Ibrox club will clearly be pushing to see the long mooted introduction of a 'B' team into any proposed set-up.
While Rangers have made great strides to improve their academy in recent years with an audit score they say tops any other club in the country, Mulholland still feels that a crucial step in the player pathway is missing.
