A young Creetown slimmer became a shadow of her former self before running her first ever road race.Sarah Lindsay shed an incredible six stones to get fit for the Carlisle Half Marathon.The 23-year-old tipped the scales at 18 stone two years ago.Now, she is a slimline 12 stone – two thirds of her former self.A combination of willpower and regular runs saw the pounds steadily melt away.“To be honest I have no idea how it all started,” Sarah told the News.“I just started exercising and cut out all the rubbish.“I’m determined and I’m quite strong-minded with it.“If you have something in your head you want to do you just do it.“I have lost six stone in two years.
