Decrease continues in number of Covid-19 patients in hospitals

The number of patients in hospital with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 continues to reduce. Latest figures from the Health Service Executive show there are 331 cases of confirmed or suspected coronavirus in the country.

The hospitals with the largest number of confirmed cases are the Mater Hospital in Dublin with 44, Tallaght 27, Galway 13 and Limerick, which has ten patients.

There are 36 patients in intensive care with confirmed Covid-19, plus a further 22 suspected of having the virus. During the peak of Covid-19 in early April there were 160 patients with the virus in ICU.
