Dennis Rodman has claimed the world will know something is wrong with Kim Jong-un if his sister starts appearing on TV. The NBA star developed an unlikely friendship with the despot and visited North Korea in 2013 where he and Kim became "friends for life".

Rumours have been circulating about the dictator's health after he reportedly underwent heart surgery earlier this year. Speculation reached a fever pitch after he missed the birth anniversary celebrations of state founder Kim Il-sung on April 15.

One report even suggested he was in a "vegetative state" following the operation. Some have suggested Kim was absent for a period of post-plastic surgery rehab.
