Dublin pubs are reportedly booked out for their reopening next week. Around 450 bars in the capital are expected to start serving again on Monday under Phase Three of the easing of Covid-19 restrictions.
Pubs can only serve alcohol to patrons who order a meal worth €9 or more and can stay for one hour and 45 minutes. Donal O'Keefe of the Licensed Vintners Federation said because of space limitations his members have been taking pre-bookings.
Most say they are booked out for the first half of the week. Dublin Lord Mayor Tom Brabazon launched a campaign today urging consumers to "take it easy" as 80% of businesses will be open.
