Courageous war veteran Marjorie Lamb is limbering up to become Scotland’s answer to Captain Tom.Marjorie, who turns 100 next month, believes everyone should do their bit to help in the fight against coronavirus and she has pledged to do 100 laps of her son’s garden to raise money to buy PPE for care workers.Inspired by Captain Tom, Marjorie decided she would join him in doing 100 laps of her son John’s garden before her big day.

And although she only took her first steps earlier this month, she has already smashed her original target of £1000, with a current total of £18,537.She has show the same attitude she showed in signing up to the Wrens at the outbreak of the Second World War.
