Emirates is offering free coronavirus insurance to all its passengers. If a holidaymaker is diagnosed with coronavirus, the major-carrier has said it will cover medical treatment costs up to €150,000 (£137,000).

It will also cover quarantine costs of €100 (£91) per day to a maximum of 14 days, for the traveller and a companion. And if a person passes away, the airline has said it will even contribute €1,500 (about £1,350) for their funeral.

The cover is for all passengers and is valid for 31 days from the start of a passenger's journey. It will run until the end of October and customers don't need to register or fill in any forms before they travel.
