American singer, guitarist, and actor Trini Lopez has died aged 83 from coronavirus complications, according to reports.The legendary musician died today in Palm Springs just days after a documentary of his life had finished filming.Palm Springs Life magazine claims that Trini had been shown a cut for approval of the film only last week.Trini, full name Trinidad, was born in Dallas, Texas, in 1937 and grew up in the Little Mexico neighborhood.He was forced to drop out of secondary school in his senior year because he needed to earn money to help support the family.After forming his first band at 15-years-old, Trini went on to land a Columbia Records contract with his band The Big Beats after Buddy Holly’s dad recommended them to producer.
