Kate Garraway fought back tears on Good Morning Britain on Monday, during her brave return as host of the ITV show. The presenter hasn't been on the show as a presenter since March, when her husband Derek Draper was struck down with coronavirus.

As he continues his battle for life due to the damage Covid-19 has caused to his body, she made the decision to return to work.

While on the show, Kate was praised for her "bravery" as she hosted segments on the virus and its impact amid her own ordeal.

In one moment, she teared up as she discussed the long recovery that often comes with the virus - something she knows all too well about.
