health ministry's data, the national average for the first dose administration among the healthcare workers (HCWs) is 82%, for the second dose, it is only 56%.The coverage in 18 states and union territories, including Punjab, Maharashtra, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, and Assam, is below the national average in this aspect, the ministry added.Whereas in case of frontline workers (FLWs), the national average of first-dose coverage is 85% but for the second dose, it is only 47%.As many as 19 states and UTs, including Bihar, Haryana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry, Telangana, Karnataka, and Punjab, have reported a second-dose coverage of FLWs below the national average, the ministry data added.A high-level meeting chaired.

Jharkhand unlock: Covid restrictions eased, offices to remain open till 4 pm

Jharkhand government on Tuesday permitted all government and private offices to remain open till 4 pm with 50% human resources as the number of new infections and deaths dropped in the state.All shops including fruits and grocery will remain closed from Saturday 4 pm till Monday 6 am, according to an official order. However, health services and related shops are exempted.Earlier on 9 June, the Jharkhand government said that a complete lockdown in the state will be imposed between 4 pm on Saturday and 6 am on Monday.

Over 300 Perth and Kinross pupils told to self-isolate from 11 schools due to positive COVID cases

Perth and Kinross pupils from across 11 schools were asked to self-isolate earlier this month due to positive coronavirus cases. Between Wednesday, June 2 and Tuesday, June 8, 33 staff members were also asked to stay away from their school facility.The individuals were asked to self-isolate that week after 19 pupils and five staff overall returned positive tests.Tulloch Primary School saw the most pupils stay away with 75, with at least one teacher also asked to isolate.Newhill Primary School had the second highest number of individuals told to self-isolate with 60 pupils, as well as seven staff members.
