Families are painting rainbows in their windows to spread message of hope during coronavirus pandemic

It's a hard time for everyone right now and families are trying to share some brightness in the world - with rainbows. Children have been drawing and painting rainbows to put in the windows of their homes.

The idea is so that anyone taking a walk during the current coronavirus pandemic can spot them along their route - and spreads the message that we are all in this together.

Mum Rebecca Bennett has been creating rainbows with her daughters Emma, five, and nine-year-old Katie. She runs the Facebook group for Lark Hill estate in Astley, Wigan, where families have all been displaying their designs in the windows.
