A family have been left devastated after losing two members to coronavirus within days of one another. Great-grandma to four Hilda Lee, 89, lost her fight with coronavirus on Saturday - only six days after the virus claimed the life of her son-in-law, Frank Nuttall.

Hilda was admitted to hospital on April 4 and spent a week on the same ward in the Royal Bolton Hospital as her daughter, who also tested positive for COVID-19.

The pair had been able to comfort each other by eating meals together and video calling their family. Just one day after her daughter was discharged to recover at home, Mrs Lee died, reports the Manchester Evening News.
