Football League chairman Rick Parry has confirmed clubs will face a financial black hole of £200m by September that will leave them on the brink of bankruptcy.
The news confirms Daily Star Sport's exclusive story last week that the EFL would go bust if there are no football games before the end of August.
Parry has been giving evidence to the Government's 'Digital, Culture, Media and Sport' committee about the impact of the coronavirus on football.
The former Liverpool chief executive has insisted he still expects three clubs to be promoted to the Premier League and the same number to be relegated.
