More than a dozen people have been slapped with £11,200 in Covid fines after they were caught at a one-year-old's birthday party.
When shocked officers arrived at the small flat there were 24 party-goers stuffed inside, with some having travelled more than 60 miles for the celebration.
Police said that the birthday bash was only busted after members of the public reported a possible breach of coronavirus virus rules after seeing party banners.
They said some of the revellers had journeyed to the party in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, from as far away as Birmingham. Officers from Nottinghamshire Police issued the hefty fines to 14 of the adults for breaking current Government guidelines on social distancing.
