A family have been slammed for taking their kitten on a 200-mile trip to packed Bournemouth beach during blazing 33 degree heat.
The RSPCA slammed the family after the helpless kitten was left in a tent and spotted by beachgoers on the hottest day of the year.
Animal rescuers were shocked when the family admitted to driving 100 miles on a day trip to the Dorset seaside resort on Thursday.
When asked why they brought the kitten with them in record temperatures, the family said "the kids didn't want to leave him." RSPCA inspector Graham Hammond was called to the packed coastline after concerned beachgoers raised the alarm.
