Police Scotland have released a picture of the hero cop who was stabbed during a knife attack in central Glasgow. Constable David Whyte, 42, was one of six people injured during the incident at the Park Inn Hotel in West George Street on Friday.
PC Whyte, who has 13 years of service, tackled the knifeman with his taser after the attacker went on a rampage before being shot by armed police, the Daily Record reports.
The officer, who is married with two children, suffered serious injuries to his neck, abdomen and leg. Police say the attack is not being treated as terrorism.
