GMB’s Kate Garraway reveals she’s writing a self-help book on coping with husband Derek’s coronavirus battle

KATE Garraway has revealed that she is writing a self-help book about her husband Derek's coronavirus battle. The 53-year-old star said that she'd started writing Good Morning Life: How To Wake Up Every Day And Smile before her partner was rushed to hospital in March, but she is now reworking it to include her family's ongoing ordeal.

She and co-host Alex Beresford were debating the importance of self-help books on Good Morning Britain earlier today after singer Adele heaped praise on Glennon Doyle's Untamed: Stop Pleasing, Start Living for "changing her life".

Kate shared: "I am going to declare that just before Derek got sick I started writing a book, I got a publishing deal, based on well-being and all the things I've learned.
