Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Hon FRIBA  (born 19 June 1964) is a British politician, writer, and former journalist serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party since 2019. He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan was shut down by Labour Party leader Sir Keir Starmer on Monday's edition of the ITV breakfast show.

Things kicked off as Piers, 55, asked the politician is opinion on the government's respond to the coronavirus crisis this morning.The GMB presenter couldn't help but question Sir Kier, 57, about the latest figures which put the Labour Party leader ahead of Boris Johnson to become the next Prime Minister during the next General Election.With Mr Johnson facing backlash over his response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Good Morning Britain host asked his guest how he "wasn't laughing out loud" at the majority sitting in Parliament.Sat alongside his co-host Susanna Reid, 49, Piers said to Sir Starmer.
